(1 rub | scratch our tummies)

Subject:training Joubert in the ways of a hot guy
Time:10:03 pm.
Last month, Mummy brought home a baby for us...and it's a boy! I'm not the only guy in the house anymore!

The kid's name is Joubert, and he has lots of potential. I've been showing him how to do all sorts of fun things, like go in the fireplace and get all dirty, slip out the front door to frolic in the rose bushes, and basically, be an awesome guy. He doesn't seem to be much of a ladies' man like I am, but he's young. When he gets a little older, I'll have to teach him my smooth moves. Mummy says Joubert is going to be big, and I think she's right -- he's only 5 months old, and he's almost as big as Mashka! That's cool.

Chelsea and I have been spending a lot of time in the living room. It's a great place for us older folks to hang out and watch the young'uns have their fun.

I got out again a couple of weeks ago. Mummy understood that I would come back, and she left a window open for me, but I haven't been able to get out again since. Mummy got wise and closed off my secret passage. This is annoying, because there are girls outside, and I don't get to hang out with them or eat their food. Precious is this gorgeous calico cat across the street, and I miss hanging out in the bushes with her. She's been coming over and hanging out on the windowsill outside, but it's not the same, because there is glass between us.

Right now, I'm showing Joubert how to sprawl in front of the sliding glass door. He's a quick study.

(2 rubs | scratch our tummies)

Subject:what?!
Time:10:09 am.
Mood: naughty.
We had a power outtage last night, so I took full advantage of the darkness. I opened a window, slipped outside, and had fun!

Mummy saw me running around the front yard and got very upset. She tried to coax me back inside, then she tried to catch me, but I was having none of that and ran away! I had such a great time going through the neighbours' yards, hiding in their bushes, exploring, visiting other cats (there are CUTE girls next door!), and enjoying the fresh air. Mummy was very sad that I ran off, but she needs to understand that I like to play outside, and it's not fair at all that Mashka and Chelsea get to hang out on the patio sometimes with Mummy, and I don't.

Note from Chelsea: Yes, but we don't run around like Cleaborn does!

Anyway, Mummy knows me well enough to know that I'll come home when I'm ready. So she left a window open for me, and after I'd had my fun, I went home. I was in the living room when Mummy and the girls woke up. Mummy was very glad to see me, but my sisters were mad. Chelsea even hit me! She said I'm a player.

I'll have to be careful, because Mummy is keeping an extra-close eye on me, and I heard her telling Grandma that she's going to nail all the screens shut so I can't pop them out. But next time I want to go outside, I'll find a way to do it. Mummy should expect this of me -- she knows I'm really smart!

(3 rubs | scratch our tummies)

Subject:i have a fun place to hide!
Time:8:03 pm.
Mood: naughty.
And Mummy isn't too happy about it.

See, I have this great ability to open drawers and doors, and this makes Mummy crazy, because I'm always going places where she can't find me. This past week, I managed to get into the wall behind the linen closet. It's great fun in there! Mummy tried to thwart my efforts by closing my access-point and blocking it with some heavy boxes until she can find a way to lock it, but I was too smart for her! I'm quite strong. hehehe...I was in the wall all day!

And of course, Mummy can never be irritated with me for too long. I just went in the living room and got the most decadent rub!

I need to enjoy my hiding place for as long as I can. I sense that Mummy will be sealing it up very soon.

(scratch our tummies)

Subject:who's the queen?
Time:11:29 pm.
Mood: blissed out.
Make no mistake, it's me.

Mummy has a fun new toy. It is a laptop that allows her to be on the computer while on the couch with me. So now she comes to me instead of me having to go to her. I'm on Mummy right now, dictating to her what to type. This is great!

Cleeb has been positively weird lately. He's taken to WRESTLING with the twins, and he plays really rough, and the girls make all kinds of noise. Very irritating. Mummy put Cleeb in time out for a bit last night, because he was being too obnoxious.

The twins are annoying me too. They want to get on Mummy, but sorry, I'm not willing to share right now. They can jolly well wait their turn.

Mummy says I've gained weight and am looking really good. I'm glad, because I was starting to feel rather frumpy. Royal Canin is delicious food, and I think that's done a lot to help me bounce back to being my usual, beautiful self.

What a lovely time this is!

(2 rubs | scratch our tummies)

Subject:fun with furniture
Time:12:48 am.
Mummy bought an ottoman that can double as a table. She thought it would be great in the living room. I must say, I agree, but only because it is a perfect place for me to lounge! I've hardly left the thing. It is so comfortable, and I look great lying on it. No one else is allowed on it...except when I feel like letting a certain cute tabby up with me. Nastya's quite a babe!

I really missed Mummy when she went on her trip, and she missed me too. She told me that she didn't see a single cat in Ireland, and not seeing kitties made her really homesick for us. I think Mummy should take us with her next time, but she told me I wouldn't like the airplane ride.

Chelsea thinks she's all that because there is a section of London named for her. hah!

Rest in peace, sweet Cleo. You were and are loved.

Subject:mellow evening
Time:8:54 pm.
Mood: loved.
Music:Julie London - "How Long Has This Been Going On".
I'm curled up in a ball on Mummy's lap and dictating my journal to her. She sure types fast! Now she's rubbing me. Mmm...

I've been feeling better lately, and I've gained a little weight back. Mummy is relieved. I'm just glad I'm feeling better, because it's so difficult to monitor the twins when I'm under the weather.

My birthday is coming up! June 1st! I will be seven. Mummy said something about a present and maybe a cake. Apparently, there is a bakery nearby that specialises in treats for cats and dogs. Not sure what a cake would be like...but if Daddy wants to bring in one of those lovely pizzas, I would be happy to help him eat it! Mummy thinks it's weird that I like people food. Some people food, I'm not allowed to eat, because Mummy says it's not good for cats. Whatever.

I am being as adorable as can be right now. Mummy is at the computer, taking dictation, and I am on the back of her chair, loving her and getting a phenomenal rub!

I do love a phenomenal rub. :)

The weather has been beautiful, so we've had the windows open a lot. I like to look outside at the cars whizzing by on the street. Sometimes, I see other cats.

Mummy was visiting a neighbour. I managed to work the door open, and I ran out and played. Mummy was very upset when she saw me, and I ran upstairs very quickly. She said she didn't want me to get hurt.

heee...I had fun!

Subject:mellow morning
Time:9:03 am.
Mood: mellow.
Today is cold, wet, and windy outside. But I'm warm, toasty, and mellow. I'm being mellow with Mummy as she checks her email...I'm being mellow and sitting very close to her mouse. I was on the mouse earlier, so I had to move, but now I'm just mellow and happy.

I love Mummy. I'm going to headbutt her arm to let her know.

(1 rub | scratch our tummies)

Subject:i am being a bad influence
Time:1:10 pm.
Mood: naughty.
Or at least Mummy says I am.

I found a great hiding spot! Secluded, private...It's the empty cupboard above the fridge. I was exploring one day, managed to open the door, and saw that there was nothing inside. It was perfect for me, so I went in and took a nap. And I laughed when I overheard Mummy telling a friend that she has no idea where I take my epic naps, because she couldn't find me.

But then, one day, Mummy found me by accident. If only I had closed the door a little more so my eyes wouldn't glow!

Mummy said I was too smart and scolded me, but I go in there anyway. And now Nastenka has been coming up there with me, but I don't let her in the cupboard. I make her sit outside or on top. Mummy saw Stasia up on top of the cupboard last night and said I am setting a bad example for the twins. But there's nothing Mummy can do about it! Ha! She can't keep us out of the kitchen, and we're not making a mess or hurting anything...we just go up high.

I like being a bad influence. ;)

It's finally autumn, and we are enjoying having the flat to ourselves again now that Mummy is back at work full time. Cleaborn had a birthday last month, which was celebrated appropriately with food and frolic.

We all signed up for Catster as well. You can see my profile here and Cleeby's here. The twins are linked from both our pages.

Hope you are all well!

Subject:what's new and exciting
Time:10:55 pm.
Music:the cranberries.
We moved upstairs, and it's even better than downstairs, because I can look out the window and see everything! And there is so much to see!

My birthday was on the 21st, and I turned four. Mummy gave me a fun toy that bops around when I whack it. It jingles!

I got in trouble last night. I was feeling romantic and was trying to be romantic with the girls...first Chelsea, then Anastasia. Mummy broke up the party when she heard Chelsea getting mad, then when she heard Nastas getting mad, she put me in the bedroom by myself. I was so sad! I just wanted to be lovey with them. But Mummy didn't see it the same way, and neither did the girls. *sigh*

Even tho she was mad at me, Anastasia is still my girl. Mummy took a cute picture of us together on my birthday.

Time for bed! Mummy's going to rub me.

I knocked the screen out of the window and went outside last night. Mummy was VERY worried and was so glad when she found me, but now she won't open the window.

Mummy is giving me a massage right now, and dorky Mashka is curled up on the computer desk, sound asleep. I am happy and purring.

(6 rubs | scratch our tummies)

Subject:birthday happies and new lj friends!
Time:7:40 pm.
Mood: happy.
I had a birthday on Tuesday...I am now six!
When I was One, I had just begun.
When I was Two, I was nearly new.
When I was Three, I was hardly Me.
When I was Four, I was not much more.
When I was Five, I was just Alive.
But now I am Six, I'm clever as clever,
So I think I'll be six forever and ever.

- "Now We are Six," A. A. Milne

We had a pizza party here, and Mummy and I watched Quills. The twins haven't had a birthday yet, so they didn't understand what all the fuss was about, but they'll figure it out next month.

Cleeb and I have some new kitty friends who are brand new to LJ! Welcome to molly_mullenMolly and sylvestr_mullenSylvester!

(3 rubs | scratch our tummies)

Subject:too many women in this house!
Time:12:14 am.
Mood: annoyed.
Sometimes, it's a drag being the only guy in a house. It's definitely fun getting all the attention, but there's a lot of girly stuff that I'm just not down with. Like now, I'm getting a nice rub from Mummy, and dumb Mashka is playing with my tail like it's one of her toys.

I wish Daddy would come over, because he's fun, and he's a GUY!
